t's alive! It's alive! The return of an old and outdated medium. And I still like it. Surprisingly I got a tape to review. Dutch label and U.S. American band. Excellent. On this supercool release Californian based band RUDE is presenting and brawling a great mixture of old school Death / Thrash Metal. I could make it easy for me and call it Florida Death Metal meets SLAYER. But this wouldn't hit the nail completely. RUDE are mixing Death Metal à la OBITUARY, DEATH, AUTOPSY, POSSESSED, etc. with Thrash Metal sounds à la SLAYER, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, etc. in a very cool way. Of course European Death Metal bands from England or the Netherlands also left their marks in the band sound. The styles and origin are frequently blurry. As usual. It's really fun listening to their demo. You can easily hear, that the guys are having most fun and really like doing what they do. The "Haunted" demo tape is a raw underground diamond you should know. The production is authentic and delivering the correct attitude for such sounds. It never sounds artificial or compelled. This is underground Death Metal how it should be. I really like this one here. So you should too. Ah, what you should know about the tape. The 5 included songs are recorded on both sides with a running time of 60 minutes total. It features a new layout, it's handnumbered to 200 copies and it comes with an additional lyricsheet
